As the communications manager for the Farming with Native Biodiversity pilot project, I led all of our external communications including social media, newsletters, and media releases. I also independently produced all six episodes of the Our Farms, Our Future podcast, a resource to help farmers to learn about managing native biodiversity.

  • Talk Nerdy to Me: Why science is so hard to explain and what can be done about it?, presented at Christchurch Nerd Nite.
  • The Pen Should Be Just as Mighty as the Pipette, presented at the Science Communicators Association of New Zealand 2021 Conference. This presentation gave an overview of the UC Science Communication society that I co-founded and encouraged other scientists to advocate for science communication within their own institutions.
  • Science Storytelling, presented for University of Canterbury Science Communication Society. This presentation focused on how to apply storytelling techniques to communicating science.
  • Immune System, presented for MindPlus class. An interactive presentation to teach kids the fundamentals of the immune system and why it is important.
